Easthampton Public Safety Committee suspends rules, reviews traffic code sections. Chair Amanda Newton and Councilors Nathan Markee and Jonathan Schmidt passed a unanimous 3-0 motion to suspend parliamentary procedures, with Councilor Schmidt leading a review of Traffic Rules and Orders sections identified as absent, outdated, or inconsistent. The committee examined Article 5 Section 1-23 and Article 6 Sections 1-41 and 1-42.

In new business, the committee took up a City Council Action Request to amend general ordinances and add e-bike regulations and use; Chair Newton directed members to review related documents ahead of May 5 discussion.
