EASTHAMPTON — Board of Assessors approves monthly abatements and exemptions at routine April meeting. Chair Daniel H. Zdonek, Jr. and members Scott Rebmann and Roxanne Mariani-Prall unanimously approved motor vehicle abatements totaling $14,312.52 and fiscal 2026 exemptions for seniors, veterans, and other qualifying residents totaling $1,184.50.
The board also approved $136,190 in state reimbursements for the Elderly Exemption and Motor Vehicle Excise Tax programs. The board discussed staffing contingencies for the data collector position, noting it would operate part-time if a municipal budget override fails or remain at 20 hours weekly if the override passes.
