Malsbury Re-elected Chair of Easthampton Board of Public Works

Easthampton Board of Public Works holds brief organizational meeting. Thomas Malsbury was re-elected chair in a 2-0 vote with Malsbury abstaining. The board agreed to continue discussion of water and sewer rates for fiscal years 2027 through 2029, noting no draft rate proposal is yet available.

Director Greg Nuttelman reported on three ongoing projects: the wastewater treatment plant aerator project with flange repair work scheduled in coming weeks, the Main Street 25 percent design plan under MassDOT review with an updated presentation expected in February or March, and completion of the Emerald Place water main replacement by Baltazar Construction, with final roadway restoration scheduled for spring.
