Council approves Public Safety Dispatch Director position

Easthampton City Council approves new Public Safety Dispatch Director position at Grade G. The role, $38.29-$53.00 per hour, is grant-funded for the first three years following the Edward J. Collins Jr.
Center's recommendation to establish dispatch center independence through a regional emergency center agreement with Southampton. Council President Koni Denham and Vice-President Felicia Jadczak, newly elected to leadership, presided. The council unanimously raised vital statistics fees from $10.00 to $15.00 per certified copy for the first time since 2005 and adopted the Hazard Mitigation Plan 2025 to maintain FEMA funding eligibility.
