Board receives updates on three public works projects

Easthampton's Board of Public Works received updates on three infrastructure projects underway in the town. DPW Director Greg Nuttelman reported that the $100,000 Cottage Street Pedestrian Safety Improvements project is advancing with design plans for ADA-compliant ramps and a rapid flashing beacon near the Brass Cat and repair of an imprinted crossing at the municipal lot. The Main Street 25% Design Plans are undergoing MassDOT review with an expected update in February or March.

The board continued discussion of water and sewer rates for FY27 through FY29, with no new updates reported.
