Board reviews four water, sewer rate options for FY27

EASTHAMPTON — Board of Public Works reviews four water and sewer rate structure options for fiscal 2027. Raybern Consulting presented four scenarios with quarterly impacts on average residential customers ranging from 7.08 dollars to 36.99 dollars. The consultant warned that delaying increases would force larger rate hikes in fiscal 2028 and beyond and emphasized that current base-charge revenue at 11 percent lags the industry standard of 20 percent.
