Parks Commission approves toll booth design, advances skate park timeline.

Parks & Recreation Commission · Meeting of February 11, 2026

EASTHAMPTON — Parks Commission directs staff to build $48,000 toll booth with two-lane capability at main entrance. Chair Kira Henninger, present with members Desiree Gribi, Brian Hiltpold, and Carolyn Anderson, approved the design unanimously and tasked John Mason of the Park Department to coordinate next steps with DPW. The skate park project, now in conceptual design, aims for sixty-percent completion by mid-March and must clear conservation review in April over storm water concerns; a virtual meeting with the design team is planned.

The commission also discussed the proposed Rec Coordinator position at $35,000 annually for FY27, with a draft job description to be finalized and submitted for city pay-grade approval. The Council on Aging will fund an additional senior swim day for $2,500 in lifeguard costs.
