EASTHAMPTON — Nashawannuck Pond Committee advances shoreline stabilization and pursues new viewing platform. The committee approved prior minutes and heard that retaining wall restoration work went out to bid on March 4 with opening March 30; Paul Davis reported the Conservation Commission was receptive to an informal platform proposal on February 23. The committee is seeking approximately $20,000 in Community Preservation Act funding for a Pond Management Plan to be presented at the annual CPA meeting March 19.

The committee's co-hosted WinterFest netted $15,455, bringing the Nashawannuck Pond Steering Committee bank account to $23,501.60.
