Finance Committee backs $23,500 for Dog Park design

EASTHAMPTON — Finance Committee backs $23,500 Dog Park design appropriation. Jonathan Schmidt moved and Koni Denham seconded the recommendation to the full City Council in a unanimous 3-0 vote. The funding covers part of the $26,000 design cost, with the Friends of Easthampton Dog Park contributing the remainder.

Chair Tom Peake and the committee learned that CPA Coordinator Eva Gerstle expects a future appropriation request around $175,000 for construction, and a public hearing is scheduled for February 4.
