Easthampton records 11 deed transfers as home prices lag behind sales pace
Easthampton recorded 11 property deed transfers between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19, but only four carried a posted sale price by the time records were reviewed, ranging from $10,000 to $444,000 with a median of $69,364. The period's top sale was 12 Johnson Ave at $444,000, sold by Grantwood Union LLC to Greenfield Savings Bank. Main Street had two transfers, the only street with more than one. Six of the 11 deeds involved a bank, credit union or mortgage-registration entity as buyer or seller. With most prices still pending at the registry, the full market picture for the period remains incomplete.
