Denham elected City Council President; Jadczak Vice-President

Easthampton City Council reorganizes for the 2026-2027 term with new elected leadership. Koni Denham was unanimously elected City Council President and Felicia Jadczak Vice-President, with President Denham subsequently announcing priorities including strengthened open dialogue, Open Meeting Law compliance, and standardized committee minutes available within 30 days. The council assigned members to six standing committees: Finance (Peake, Schmidt, Denham); Ordinance (Jamrog-McQuaid, Smith, Denham); Rules and Government Relations (Kwiecinski, Jadczak, Newton); Public Safety (Newton, Markee, Schmidt); Appointments (Smith, Jadczak, Markee); and Property (Kwiecinski, Jamrog-McQuaid, Peake).

The council unanimously referred the Resolution Pertaining to Discrimination and Intolerance to the January 7 meeting.
