Public Art Subcommittee reviews district reapplication and utility box project.
Easthampton City Arts Public Art Subcommittee · Meeting of January 7, 2026
Easthampton Public Art Subcommittee approves prior minutes and advances spring utility box project. The committee voted unanimously to approve November 5th minutes and learned that the Massachusetts Cultural Council is requiring already-established Cultural Districts to reapply under new qualifications, with Pasqualina urging committee participation in a January 20 Zoom meeting. The Power to the People utility box project received commitments from Amy J for a $1,000 painting stipend, Michael Poole for spring alterations at the DPW facility, and Greg Nuttleman for a mid-April concrete pad pour.
The committee will inspect Union Street bike racks before February to determine repainting strategy and review the Main Street redesign project's spring public hearing for potential public art space allocation.
