Easthampton Housing Authority greenlights garage project and cancels stalled roof contract. The board unanimously approved a Certificate of Substantial Completion and Final Completion for a new garage valued at $15,833.77 and unanimously approved cancellation of the roof replacement contract for Building 10 Cliffview due to bidder nonresponsiveness. Chairperson Mary Church announced that a search for a new Executive Director following Care Leiper's December resignation is underway, with an advertisement published and a goal of hiring by April 1st.
The Authority will form a four-member search committee including Church, one LTO-nominated tenant representative, a second tenant at large, and one board member. Residents raised concerns about maintenance staffing levels, apartment painting policies, winter snow removal, and broken laundry equipment.
