Disability Commission updates service list, plans community survey
Commission on Disability · Meeting of February 12, 2026
Easthampton disability commission updates its service list and advances survey planning. The Commission on Disability heard from the Easthampton Council on Aging about services for people with disabilities over age 55, including transportation and community activities, and voted unanimously to approve January minutes. The commission identified needed updates to its 2017 area services list, including phone number area codes and new organizations such as CHD and Wildflower Alliance, with member Jeff Brown volunteering to verify phone numbers.
The Survey Subcommittee continues planning a Disability Community survey; Bruce Homstead joined the subcommittee. The commission plans to address strategic planning at its March 12 meeting.
