Commission on Disability · Meeting of August 13, 2026

Easthampton disability commission seeks parking fine revenue for accessibility work. Chair Angelique Baker and eight members approved a draft letter requesting that the City Council allocate handicap parking violation fine revenues to the commission under state law to fund programs including Story Hour, movie showings, community surveys, and accessibility accommodations. The commission reported membership vacancies and scheduled a meeting with the Easthampton and LGBT Chambers for August 22 to discuss an accessibility ordinance.

Clerk Leslie Tane was directed to review the letter with city officials before submitting it to the Council.
