EASTHAMPTON — Committee approves Michonski re-appointment, discusses appointment workflow. The Easthampton City Council Appointment Committee unanimously approved the re-appointment of Marlene Michonski to the Parks and Recreation Commission with a term expiration date of December 31, 2029. Chair Tamara Smith reported on discussions with Evan LeBeau, Mayor Derby's assistant, regarding the appointment process, and the committee identified concerns about decision-making transparency when multiple candidates apply for single positions.
The committee requested that the City Clerk copy the Appointment Committee Chair on all applicant communications to improve visibility in the appointment review process.
