Board of Health waives food truck fine on condition

Board of Health · Meeting of July 15, 2026

Easthampton Board of Health waives food truck fine conditionally. The board voted unanimously to waive a $200 fine issued to La Veracruzana, which operates at Abandoned Building Brewery, on condition the establishment schedule certified food safety training within 14 days and submit a corrective action plan. Health Inspector Ryan Griffin had issued the fines following a June 5 inspection for repeated violations of food code requirements regarding rear-door management.

The board also discussed proposed regulatory updates to body art establishments, including anonymous complaint pathways and background check requirements, with formal language to be considered at a future meeting.
