BEES Committee expands membership, proposes ordinance restructuring

BEES Committee · Meeting of January 28, 2026

Easthampton BEES Committee votes to restructure membership, expanding to 11 members. Chair Sean Abbot was directed by a motion from Jamie Paquette, seconded by Hal Weeks and approved unanimously, to draft an ordinance establishing eight at-large mayoral appointees, two representatives from other city boards or commissions, and one City Council member. The expansion reflects Committee discussion about ensuring broad public participation.

The Committee also approved prior minutes with Sean Abbot abstaining and scheduled its next meeting for February 18 at 6:30 p.m.
