Energy Advisory Committee advances outreach, housing efficiency, and municipal power contract.
Energy Advisory Committee · Meeting of May 20, 2026
EASTHAMPTON — Energy Advisory Committee advances public outreach and housing efficiency coordination. The committee approved April minutes and moved forward with plans to hold fall energy efficiency tours and table at the June 14 Farmer's Market, with Cindy Fand of Shelburne Falls leading educational programming funded by Eversource and National Grid grants. Lindsi Sakula, Executive Director of the Easthampton Housing Authority, presented opportunities to enroll 188 state-aided units in Mass Save programs and install electric vehicle chargers at select properties; the committee agreed to continue collaboration and research grant opportunities including the Climate Ready Housing Program.
Chair Jamie Paquette will coordinate with the mayor's office to review Energy Service Agreements by June 5 for Good Energy's municipal electricity aggregation bid process, with pre-bid and bid day meetings scheduled for June 22-24. The committee reached consensus to endorse general concepts of the Renewal Initiatives lodging house project rather than a specific organization.
