Easthampton City Arts shifts to year-round district programming.

Easthampton City Arts Coordinating Committee · Meeting of March 2, 2026

Easthampton City Arts Coordinating Committee approves shift from annual Cultural Chaos festival to year-round programming on Cottage Street. Chair Tracey Eller oversaw discussion of the strategic pivot, prompted by public comment from City Council Vice President Felicia Jadczak, who had disclosed the cancellation before the committee's announcement citing community input concerns. Planned 2026 events include eleven live music Thursdays called Beats on the Boardwalk, expanded Art Walks, Poetry Month, a Sidewalk Festival, and an August summer concert; most programming budgeted at approximately $20,000.

The committee also released an RFP for a new public sculpture titled "Pathway to the Mills" with a $12,000 artist honorarium and applications due March 25.
