Easthampton Arts Committee authorizes nonprofit exploration, endorses wayfinding grant. The Easthampton City Arts Coordinating Committee endorsed a letter of support for a Mass Downtown Initiative capital grant to install wayfinding signage extending from the Pleasant and Ferry Street roundabout to Cottage Street and the library, with the application due June 3. The committee also authorized Pasqualina Azzarello to continue legal discussions regarding establishment of a nonprofit arm, with estimated setup costs of $500 to $1,500.
The committee heard updates on the June 6 Sidewalk Strut event, ongoing public art installations including a mosaic sculpture for Union Street, and a proposed partnership with the Easthampton Chamber of Commerce to create a street fair.
