Committee votes to recommend Recreation Coordinator to city pay plan

City Council - Ordinance Committee · Meeting of July 14, 2026

EASTHAMPTON — Ordinance Committee votes unanimously to recommend Recreation Coordinator position to city's pay plan. Director of Parks and Recreation John Mason presented the proposal to add the position, graded at pay plan Grade E with wages of $26.64 to $36.88 per hour, to oversee Camp Nonotuck and coordinate youth recreation programs. Funding would combine program revenue (roughly 50 percent) and city funds, with activation contingent on donations or grants since the position is not funded in the current fiscal year.

A public hearing on the pay plan amendment is targeted for the first City Council meeting in September.
