Committee approves amended cell tower opposition resolution

Easthampton city council's Rules Committee approves revised resolution opposing Southampton cell tower. The panel voted 2-0 to accept amendments. Councilor Kwiecinski highlighted shared leverage: mutual aid agreement, dispatch services, water and sewer cooperation, and joint protection of Southampton's aquifer from proposed Westfield lithium storage.

Councilor Denham noted Easthampton's zoning bylaws restrict cell towers.
