Charity Funds Committee consolidates administration under Treasurer

Easthampton Charity Funds Committee consolidates oversight of five charitable funds under Treasurer. All four committee members — Chair Carol Smith, Clerk Barbara LaBombard, and members Gail Canon and Marlene Michonski — unanimously approved transferring administration from the City Clerk's Office to the Treasurer's Office. The committee also unanimously closed a checking account and authorized the Treasurer to distribute its balance equally to the Helping Hand Society and the Easthampton Community Center.
The committee requested three years of financial data for each fund to develop sustainable annual distribution guidelines.
