CPA Committee approves December minutes, schedules Valley CDC subsidy vote for March.

Community Preservation Act Committee · Meeting of January 15, 2026

Easthampton CPA Committee deferred vote on 150,000 dollar Valley CDC mortgage subsidy program to March 12, 2026. Chair Scott Cavanaugh, Vice-Chair Dan Rist, and five members present advanced the subsidy application despite Greg Rolland's concern that annual requests could transform the project-based grant into an operational city function; applicant Sarah Sargent confirmed distribution of three 50,000-dollar awards in six months and capped counseling participation only by funding availability. The committee also scheduled a January 27 building tour for a 94,250-dollar library annex historic preservation project and finalized a public survey on eight CPA goals, to deploy by February 1 via QR codes at Winterfest, farmers markets, and ArtWalk events.
