Easthampton Select Board gives town administrator a 3.9 out of 5 in annual review

EASTHAMPTON — June 11, 2026 — Easthampton Select Board gave Town Administrator Scott Zybek an overall performance score of 3.9 out of 5 at its June 11 meeting, covering the period from March 25 to May 26, 2026. Chair Christine Forgea read the averaged scores of four board members publicly, noting a high of 4.6 in job knowledge and lows of 3.1 each in time management and long-term planning; the board cited Zybek's work navigating the town's health insurance transition to the GIC and his grant-tracking efforts as standouts, while calling for more proactive between-meeting communication. The board also heard from Tighe & Bond consultants Jennifer Gilbert and Haley Rivers that the town is meeting all MS4 stormwater permit requirements except a best management practice retrofit at Conant Park, which lacks a hard regulatory deadline. In a round of appointments, Ashley Stone joined the Council on Aging Board and Kathy Caputo was reappointed to the Affordable Housing Trust; the board accepted the resignation of longtime Greenway Committee member Michael Buller and agreed to send him a letter of thanks.
