EASTHAMPTON — The Council on Aging received director reports on programs and services, noting staffing transitions ahead. Director Cindy Tarail reported that the Senior Tax Work Off program, which provides critical staffing support to Council operations, ends October 15, with the mayor allocating 12 to 15 household positions for fiscal year 2027; residents were invited to apply by October 15. The Council discussed initiatives including a National Senior Center Month video project with 30 volunteers and expanded outreach efforts that generated positive responses from residents turning 65.

Building limitations and a recommendation for a new senior center were highlighted in the fiscal year 2026 state annual report.
